Are you living out loud?

"After this, Joseph of Arimathea, being a disciple of Jesus, but secretly, for fear of the Jews, asked Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus...-John 19:38

If you're a believer, a "disciple of Jesus," how are you living and representing Christ?  Joseph of Arimathea, a wealthy member of the Jewish governing council known as the Sanhedrin, had come to faith in Christ during His earthly ministry.  However, due to his "fear of the Jews," likely being afraid of loss of social status, mistreatment and even persecution for his new-found faith, he lived "secretly," something John wrote about in a negative light.

Even before this, John wrote about other believers who were in prominent positions in Jewish circles but who decided to live their faith secretly: "Nevertheless, many even of the authorities believed in Him, but for fear of the Pharisees they did not confess it, so that they would not be put out of the synagogue; for they loved the glory that comes from man more than the glory that comes from God."  (John 12:42-43)

How do you live for your Lord and Savior?  Is it "secretly" or is it "unashamed?" (Rom. 1:16)

On a team, players who do absolutely nothing (not even cheering the others on), do nothing to contribute to the game.  Let's be sure that all of us are involved in the game (gospel ministry) in some way and certainly let the world know which team you're on!
